Strategy is easy. Delivery is where it gets real.
70% of transformations fail – not because the strategy was wrong, but because nobody figured out how to actually deliver it. I’ve spent the last decade-plus fixing that. Programmes worth £10m+, across financial services, life sciences and energy – the kind where getting it wrong isn’t just embarrassing, it’s career-ending.
Early in my career, I watched a major programme fall apart. Good strategy, smart people, but governance and delivery capability were an afterthought. That experience shaped everything I do now.
I started NotAnotherBlog.com because tech and transformation are loud. Everyone’s got a framework and a slide deck, yet the simple, useful stuff still gets buried. This is my way of sharing straight-talking, practical ideas that actually work.

Build: I turn strategy into programmes and projects, set up properly from Day 1 – right PMO framework, right governance, right controls, right team capability, so things don’t fall apart when complexity hits.
Deliver: The programme exists but needs senior hands on the wheel. I own the outcome across geographies, vendors, and workstreams. You get pace, accountability, and milestones that actually land.
Rescue: I find out what’s actually going wrong, stabilise delivery, and get the programme back on track. Before you lose the board, the budget, or the programme entirely.
Assure: Independent health checks across your workstreams. I spot delivery risks early and escalate them before they become programme risks.
Write: Strategy, Tech and Delivery since 2009. For leaders who’ve sat through enough transformation theatre to know the difference between a plan and a PowerPoint.
